Thank you for his wisdom and sense of adventure. Fill him with comfort so that he can comfort others. I pray for jobs for the jobless and thankfulness for the employed.Friday, July 16 – DepressionLord of hope, I pray for the hopeless, especially those who are afflicted with depression. Remove the dark clouds that ruin days and the dark moods that ruin relationships. Enliven me with your Holy Spirit so I can comfort those who are disconnected and lift up those who are down. Make me an instrument of your hope today.Saturday, July 17 – AbuseLord of love, I pray for those who have been abused by their parents, friends and the world. I pray for your healing in their lives, that whatever baggage they carry may be released. I pray that they will have courage to live with purpose and without fear. I pray that in every home and every country that cycle of abuse will come to an end.Sunday, July 18 – Those For Whom the Church is Not a Safe PlaceAmazing God, your arms are open to embrace all those who are far from you. I pray for those who have been run out, edged out and forced out of your church by Christians. So many of us have so much and we recognize that this comes through your generous and bountiful hand. When life is hard and things seem to be against us, you remain with us to help and support us. We thank you that you do not abandon us or leave us to struggle alone. Wednesday, July 7 – My SpaceDear God, my life seems to be a never ending round of challenges. Each day I try my best to live a life that is good in word, thought and deed. When I fail, I know your love is unconditional and you don’t give up on me or ignore me. Help me to remember that - whatever type of day I am having – you are there sharing every moment. .
