constructionThe sanctuary renovation is underway. Please join use for worship in Gangsei Hall (gym) while we complete the plan laid out by the Worship Space Renewal Task Force in May.

The plan involves many areas of the campus:

  • All the carpet in the Sanctuary, hallways, and pods will be removed. The floor treatment will be acid-stain concrete with a matte finish.
  • All the pews are being removed and transported to a space where they will receive refinishing before being reinstalled in the Sanctuary. Sanctuary Renewal
  • The current light fixtures will be removed and replaced by hanging lanterns that will allow light to reflect in all directions.
  • Each entrance to the Sanctuary will receive a new set of wood doors with glass inserts. The main doors will remain the same in shape, but receive double-paned glass inserts which will allow light to fill the Narthex.
  • The north entrance will have handicap hardware added, making our building more handicap accessible.

Channeling PeaceWhat would you do to promote world peace and help bring medical aid to those in need?

Visit www.channelingpeace.org to learn about how two men — a Christian from Ohio and a Muslim from Pakistan — are teaming up to swim the English Channel in support of Christian-Muslim understanding, unity, and cooperation.

They will brave 21 miles of freezing water, high waves, and unfriendly sea creatures as they relay swim from Dover, England to Calais, France.

The proceeds of their fundraising go to the organization Doctors Without Borders which is bringing medical aid to families displaced in the campaign against Taliban militants in Northern Pakistan.

Prince of Peace member Katie Edgar hopes to give a talk this month about her experiences in Pakistan and this wonderful project her two friends from Ohio Wesleyan University have started.
