The Parables of Jesus

"The parables are like little windows into God's bigtruths---about God and ourselves, about faith and life in this world, and our place in God's future." 

Pastor Lou leads a study on eight of Jesus' best known parables.  This popular series will be our next Wednesday morning Bible Study Series, beginning Wednesday, May 23.

Each class session will cover one parable, so come whenever your schedule permits. 

Each session will consist of a brief presentation by Pastor Lou, viewing a 10 minute video on each parable in a likely setting in the Holy Lands where Jesus taught them, bible study and discussion on each parable.

May 23:  "The Talents"
May 30:  "The Unmerciful Servant"
June   6:  "Two Houses"
June 13:  "Five Foolish Maidens"
June 20:  "The Good Shepherd"
June 27:  "The Sower and the Seeds"
July  11:  "The Good Samaritan"
July  18:  "The Prodigal Son" 

Each parable contains its own important insight for us from Jesus' teaching.  The video for each lesson is filmed on location in Israel where Jesus likely taught the parable.  The videos were produced by a nationally known Bible teacher, Dr. Jamie Buckingham, who is recognized as one of America's foremost authorities on "the Sinai" and Israel.
