Bathed in LightDiane Osby Peterson’s Bathed in Light tells how Prince of Peace’s artists, artisans and craftspeople - from needleworkers to metalworkers - became kindred souls as they overcame obstacles and encountered new ones in a 40-year mission to bring artistic beauty, Christian symbolism and, above all, God’s light into their dark and barren sanctuary.

Churchgoers and perennial students of art and religion will find this story of Peterson’s revival of the Christian Art Guild enlightening and inspirational.

One of the most beautiful happenings in our church was when Diane Peterson brought together a group of women to create art works that brought rich images and art pieces into being ... always done in beautiful design, color and meaning. Her book gives a glimpse into this invaluable ministry at Prince of Peace and will certainly inspire other churches
-The Rev. Philip Gangsei, founding pastor of Prince of Peace (1957-1987)

Diane Peterson’s Bathed in Light shows congregations and pastors how the spirit is at work in the world of sacred art .. loving members of the Art Guild brought a marriage between Scripture and art, fidelity and grace .. I am grateful for the creative and faithful work of (Diane Peterson) this servant of God and urge you to be ‘bathed in light’.

-The Rev. Dr. Howard Wennes, Retired.

I appreciated reading through [this] beautiful book that affirms the power of using God-given gifts to enhance the experience of the holy in sacred spaces.  I am a firm believer in the power of releasing all the gifts of God’s created people for the sake of strengthening our witness to the world.  [Diane's] skill and interpretation has helped generations at Prince of Peace to discover God’s grace through the media [Diane] and [her] students so boldly expressed.
- The Rev. Steve Talmage, Bishop, ELCA Grand Canyon Synod.
